About MESC

Founded in 2012, Media & Entertainment Skills Council is a Not-for-Profit Organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Council has been promoted by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) with financial support by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
MESC has a mandate to create 11.74 lakhs skilled manpower by 2022 and contribute to the National Skill Mission for creating 500 million Skilled human resource by 2022.

The Governing Board of MESC comprises of eminent industry leaders and professionals, responsible for driving forward the strategic direction of the organisation as a whole.

MESC Ecosystem

Founded in 2012, Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) has been setup under the National Skills Development Mission, Government of India under the aegis of National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) and promoted by FICCI. As a sector skill council MESC has a mandate to create National Occupational Standards, develop competency framework, conduct Train the Trainer Programs, affiliate Vocational Training Institutes, conduct skill gap studies in their sector leading to a Labor Market Information System and most importantly Assess and Certify trainees on the curriculum aligned to National Occupational Standards developed by them.
